Ashland, Hillsdale Punch Tickets to NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS -- Ashland and Hillsdale will represent the Great Midwest in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional tournament. The University of Indianapolis has earned the right to host the regional tournament in Indianapolis as the No. 1 seed.

Ashland jumped two spots from its previous regional rank to grab the No. 3 seed, while the Chargers are slotted as the No. 4 seed.

Hillsdale returns to the regional tournament after an Elite 8 run just a season ago. The Eagles, fresh off a Great Midwest tournament title, return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2021.

The regional tournament will get started on Saturday (March 11) with No. 3 Ashland taking on No. 6 seed Ferris state (23-8). Followed by No. 2 Missouri-St. Louis (21-10) facing No. 7 Parkside (21-8) at 2:30 p.m. and No. 1 seed UIndy (26-4) taking on No. 8 seed McKendree (18-12) at 5 p.m. The regional quarterfinals will end with No. 4 seed Hillsdale (23-6) against No. 5 Northern Michigan (24-7) at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday's (March 12) semifinals will take place at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with the regional championship on Tuesday (March 14) at 7 p.m.

The 2023 NCAA Division II Elite Eight, Final Four and Championship Game will be March 21, 23 and 25, respectively, in Evansville, Ind.
