Ashland to Face No. 6 Minnesota Duluth in National Championship

St. Joseph, MO.—For the first time since 2018, the Ashland University Eagles have advanced to the Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship.
 
The Eagles advanced Wednesday night after a 76-67 victory over defending champions Glenville State.
 
Four different Eagles contributed double-digit points in the win, with Annie Roshak leading the way at 17. Hayley Smith posted an outstanding performance with 15 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
 
Savaya Brockington added 16 points, while Hallie Heidemann finished with 13. Heidemann was just shy of a triple-double, adding eight rebounds and eight assists to her stat line.
 
As a team, Ashland shot 49.2% from the field and forced the Pioneers to 15 turnovers.
 
The championship game is set to take place in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, April 1 at 3:30 P.M. ET. Ashland is set to face the No. 6 seed Minnesota Duluth (32-3).
