Men’s Basketball
Brandon Haraway / Ashland University / Sr. / Guard / Norwalk, Ohio.
Brandon Haraway averaged 24.5 points, four rebounds, and three assists in two wins for the Eagles. In an upset over No. 9 Hillsdale, Haraway poured in 24 points and shot 50% from the field. Against Lake Erie, he totaled 25 points and four rebounds. The Norwalk, Ohio native ranks sixth in the conference in scoring at 15.4 points per game.
Women’s Basketball
Alexis Hutchison / Malone University / Sr. / Guard / Centerville, Ohio
For the third time this season, Alexis Hutchison has been named the Great Midwest Athlete of the Week. Hutchison posted a stat line of 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists across two games. In the Great Midwest, Hutchison ranks fourth in scoring at 18.3 points per game and second in assists with 4.7 per game.

Sebastian Tesch / Northwood University / Fr. / Throws / New Baltimore, Mich.
Tesch earned a first-place finish in the men’s weight throw at the GVSU Snowdown Showdown. The Freshman set a new PR with 19.19m. His mark ranks as the 13
th-best throw in Division II this season.
Men’s Indoor Track
Josh Jones / Northwood University / So. / Distance / Harrison, Mich.
Josh Jones took home the gold in the 800m over the weekend. He improved his personal record by five-hundreths of a second. His 1:50.78 mark set a new Great Midwest record and qualified as an NCAA provisional mark. Jones’ time registers as the 11
th-best time at the Division II level.
Women’s Indoor Field
Hannah Willow / Cedarville University / Sr. / Jumps / Arlington, Ohio
Hannah Willow finished in the top three in two events over the weekend. She placed first in the high jump with a mark of 1.7m, which also qualified as an NCAA D2 Provisional and is the third-best mark in program history. Willow also finished third in the long jump with a 4.94m mark.
Women’s Indoor Track
Shura Ermakov / Hillsdale College / Jr. / Sprints / Berea, Ohio
Ermakov won two events at Ashland’s Jud Logan Light Giver Open over the weekend. She took first in the 400m dash with a time of 55.63, the 10
th fastest time in Division II to date. The Berea, Ohio native also ran a leg on the Distance Medley Relay that posted a time of 11:41.94, the fifth fastest time in D2 this season.
Men’s Tennis
Brian Hackman / Hillsdale College / Sr. / Island Lake, Ill.
Hillsdale’s Brian Hackman earned Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week after recording a perfect 4-0 record on the weekend. Hackman won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles and a 6-4, 6-3, and 12-10 win at No. 2 singles against Cornerstone. Against Davenport, he won 6-4 at No. 2 doubles and a 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.
Women’s Tennis
Elina Ivanova / University of Findlay / So. / Nizhny Novgorod, Russia
Elina Ivanova helped the Oilers sweep Lourdes University over the weekend. She won 6-0 at No. 2 Doubles and went on to record two 6-0 wins at No. 1 singles.
Wrestling
Daniel Beemer/ Ashland University / Jr. / 184 Lbs. / Ottawa, Ohio
Daniel Beemer helped the Eagles record a win over the 2023 Great Midwest Champions in Findlay. The No. 5-ranked 184-pound junior recorded a 17-1 tech fall against Findlay’s Mark Trifelos. Against Tiffin he won via pin at 2:42.
