INDIANAPOLIS—The NCAA released the Division II Women’s Basketball regional rankings Wednesday, Feb. 15. Teams from each region are mentioned as “under consideration” and are listed in alphabetical order.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has four teams featured in the Midwest Region.
The undefeated Ashland Eagles are named in the first regional rankings of the season. The reigning conference champions lead the country in several statistical categories both on and individual and team level. Ashland hosted the Midwest Region last season, before falling short in the semi-final round.
Kentucky Wesleyan, who sits in second place in the conference, is also featured. The Panthers have a 19-5 overall record and have clinched a berth in the conference tournament.
Trevecca Nazarene and Malone each received recognition in the rankings. The Trojans are 14-4 in the conference and Malone sits at 13-4, respectively.
All four teams have clinched a spot as well as a quarterfinal host site for the Great Midwest Tournament.
