Football
Defense: Johnny Harris / University of Findlay/ Jr. / Defensive End / Cleveland, Ohio
Findlay’s Johnny Harris led a defense that held Thomas More to just 10 points. Harris registered a season-high ten tackles, including one tackle for loss. He currently ranks 13
th in the conference in tackles with 45 this season.
Offense: Carson Gresock / Tiffin University / So. / Running Back / Columbus, Ohio
Carson Gresock of Tiffin had a career day for the Dragons in a 50-0 win over Lake Erie. He recorded 163 yards on 16 carries for a 10.2 yards per carry average. Gresock scored three touchdowns with runs of four, three, and 57 yards as Tiffin went on to finish with 513 total yards of offense. He is fifth in the conference in rushing with 426 yards this season at 81.0 yards per game.
Special Teams: Julian Lee / Hillsdale College/ Jr. / Kicker / White Lake, Mich.
Kicker Julian Lee went five-for-five on extra point attempts in Hillsdale’s 44-14 win over Kentucky Wesleyan. Lee also hit a 43-yard field goal to account for eight of the Chargers points. This season, he is a perfect 21 for 21 on PATs.
Men’s Golf
Johan Widal / Tiffin University/ So. / Halmstad, Sweden
Widal earned his first tournament victory of the season at the Midwest Regional, firing rounds of 67 (-5), 72 (E), and 76 (+4) to earn medalist status. He finished with a 54 hole score of 215 to lead Tiffin to their second consecutive first-place finish of the season.
Women’s Golf
Mary Kelly Mulcahy / University of Findlay/ Jr. / Lima, Ohio
Findlay’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy earned Medalist status at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial Tournament as the Oilers finished runner-up in a field of nationally ranked programs. Mulcahy shot rounds of 70,71, and 71 for a total of 212. She scored under par in all three rounds to finish -4 in her fifth career tournament win and second win this fall.
Men’s Soccer
Defense:Amara Kamara / Tiffin University / Jr. / Defender / Montserrado, Liberia
Amara Kamara tallied one goal and one assist as a defender for the Dragons. He led a Tiffin defense that held Ashland to just four shots on goal in a 3-1 win.
Offense: Marlon Grossmann / Trevecca Nazarene University/ Jr. / Forward / Schwaebisch Gmuend, Germany
Grossmann recorded four goals on the weekend in two victories over Ohio Dominican and Malone. He scored a hat trick with three goals against ODU and added one more against Malone. In both games, Grossmann was also credited with the game-winning goals.
Women’s Soccer
Defense: Mackenzie Simon / Ashland University / Sr. / Goalkeeper / Olmstead Falls, Ohio
Mackenzie Simon added two more wins this week for the No. 1 ranked Ashland Eagles. Simon combined for four total saves in her eighth clean sheet of the season. She leads the conference in a goals-against-average of 0.24 and a saves percentage of 92.3.
Offense: Amy Bos / Thomas More University/ Jr. / Forward/ Nijimegen, Netherlands
Bos recorded one assist and three goals on the week as the Saints improved to 4-7-2 on the year.
Volleyball North Division
Defense: Alli Wiese / Hillsdale College/ Jr. / Libero / Mattawan, Mich.
Alli Wiese had a historic weekend for the Chargers at the Midwest Region Crossover. Wiese became just the third player in program history to surpass the 2,000 dig mark with 2,002 career digs. She averaged 4.6 digs per set, including 21 digs in a four-set win over Maryville. Wiese leads the conference in digs at 4.82 per set this season.
Offense: Marilyn Popplewell / Hillsdale College/ Jr. / Outside Hitter / Mason, Mich.
Hillsdale swept the north division as Marilyn Popplewell claimed the Offensive Player of the Week honors. She finished the Midwest Region Crossover with 45 kills at 4.5 per set. Popplewell recorded 20 kills Hillsdale’s sweep of Michigan Tech. She then went on earn a spot on the Crossover Tournament team. Popplewell is currently ranked fourth in the G-MAC in kills per set at 3.39.
Volleyball South Division
Defense: Olivia Karhoff / Tiffin University / Sr. / Outside Hitter / Columbus, Ohio
Olivia Karhoff led the Dragons in digs in all three matches over the weekend. She tallied 42 total, with 22 in Tiffin’s victory over Davenport. Karhoff finished the weekend with 3.82 digs per set.
Offense: Emma Titus / Trevecca Nazarene University / Jr. / Outside Hitter / Hendersonville, Tenn.
Trevecca’s Emma Titus had at least 20 kills in all three matches on the week. She averaged 22.3 kills per match at 5.58 per set. Titus finished the weekend with a .248 hitting percentage, while averaging eight digs per match and nine total blocks.
