Ashland Tops WBCA Poll as No. 1 Team in the Country

INIDIANAPOLIS--  For the first time this season,  Ashland University Women’s Basketball was voted as the No. 1 team in Division II. The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association  (WBCA) released national rankings for games played through Jan. 2.
 
Under Head Coach Kari Pickens, Ashland (14-0, 6-0) received 19 of 21 first-place votes. The Eagles are only one of five undefeated teams remaining in Division II and hold the best FG% in the country at .515.
 
Ashland will look to extend their win-streak in upcoming games against Cedarville (3-8,1-4) and Northwood (6-7, 3-3) later this week.
