Men’s Basketball
Grant Whisman / Cedarville University / Jr. / Forward / Middletown, Ohio
The Yellow Jackets improved to 10-3 heading into the new year with the help of junior forward Grant Whisman. In a 107-73 win over Central State, he poured in a career-high 32 points and shot 10-21 on the day. Whisman’s 32 points included nine three-pointers as he went 9-15 from behind the arc. Against Tiffin University, Whisman added 28 points, including four treys. Through two games, the Middletown, Ohio native averaged four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
Women’s Basketball
Annie Roshak / Ashland University / Sr. / Forward / North Canton, Ohio
Senior forward Annie Roshak led the Eagles to three more victories to remain undefeated on the season. Through three games, Roshak posted an impressive stat line. In only 21.7 minutes of play per game, she averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.7 steals. Roshak shot a 73.1 FG% and was 5-8 from three-point range. In a 97-68 win over West Liberty, she scored 22 points while only playing 21 minutes. She currently has the best field goal percentage in the Great Midwest at 69.1% through 13 games.
