LEXINGTON, Ky. – Hillsdale remains in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 for the third-straight week.
The Chargers dropped two spots to No. 22 in the national poll released Monday. The defending Great Midwest champions started their fall campaign ranked No. 16 in the AVCA preseason poll but an opening weekend loss dropped the Chargers to No. 22 where they have hovered for the last two weeks.
Hillsdale currently sits at 9-2 on the season, the best overall record in the Great Midwest. The Chargers two losses come at the hands of No. 19 Colorado School of the Mines and Rockhurst, who is receiving votes in this week’s poll. While early, Hillsdale sits in a three-way tie atop the north division conference standings after winning its first two conference matches against Lake Erie and Ursuline.
On a 73-match winning streak in conference play, the 2021 Midwest Region champions will look to continue their dominance with matches this weekend at conference foes Malone and Walsh.
