Football
Defense: Sir Zion Dance / Tiffin University / Sr. / Linebacker / Indianapolis, IN
The Senior linebacker proved a dominant defensive force for the Dragons in a 28-13 win over Ohio Dominican. Dance led the team in tackles at nine, three of which were solo tackles. He helped hold the Panthers to 38 rushing yards as the Dragons registered four team sacks and forced two turnovers.
Offense: Isaac TeSlaa / Hillsdale College / So. / Wide Receiver / Hudsonville, MI
TeSlaa helped the Chargers improve to 2-0 on the year with a 35-17 win over Walsh. The sophomore caught eight passes for a total of 189 yards and three touchdowns. He cracked the top-ten in program history for single-game receiving yards and leads the nation at 346 yards and five touchdowns through two games. He is one of only two players with over 300 yards receiving and one of three players with four or more receiving touchdowns.
Special Teams: Julian Lee / Hillsdale College / So. / Kicker / White Lake, MI
Lee was five of five on extra points for the second straight week. He is now 10/10 on the year and 54/54 in his career. Currently, he sits at fourth in the conference in points, averaging five points per game.
Men’s Cross Country
Dillan Haviland / Northwood University / Jr. / St. Johns, MI
Dillan Haviland helped lead the Timberwolves to a second-place finish in their first home meet of the season. He ran a personal best time of 18:25.5 in the 6,000 meter race to earn first place. Haviland was the overall winner by 17 seconds in the event, which featured 72 competitors.
Women’s Cross Country
Ines Macadam / Tiffin University / Jr. / Entre Rios, Argentina
Macadam placed first at the Tiffelberg Open with a time of 18:46.2, more than 15 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. She helped the Dragons win their home meet as they scored 24 points.
Men’s Golf
Tanner Grzegorczyk / University of Findlay / Gr. / Glenshaw, PA
The graduate student earned runner-up status at the Carl Arendson Invite. He recorded scores of 70, 64, and 73 through 36 holes. Grzegorczyk’s 64 score shattered the program record and ties the conference record.
Men’s Soccer
Defense: Charlie Walker/ Walsh University / Fr. / Goalkeeper / Whitstable, United Kingdom
Freshman Charlie Walker helped the Cavaliers improve to 2-0 in conference play with wins over Ashland and Cedarville. Walker totaled 10 saves on the weekend and two shutouts. He currently leads the G-MAC in saves at 17 and ranks second in goals against average at .667.
Offense: Juan Rosique Alvarez / Tiffin University / Midfielder / Torrevieja, Spain
Tiffin went 1-0-1 on the weekend as Rosique recorded two goals for the Dragons. Rosique ranks in the top ten in the conference in goals scored and game-winning goals.
Women’s Soccer
Defense:
Delayna Holman / Trevecca Nazarene University / Sr. / Goalkeeper / Shepherdsville, KY
Delayna Holman tied the Trevecca career-record for shutouts as she registered her 21
st shutout in a 2-0 win against Tiffin. She ranks first among active NCAA Division II goalkeepers in saves. Through five matches, the senior has only allowed five goals and ranks fifth in the conference in goals against average at 1.00. Holman is second in the Great Midwest at shutouts per game with two on the year.

Bailey Clark / Ashland University / Sr. / Forward / Doylestown, OH
The Eagles went 2-0 to begin conference play as senior Bailey Clark registered two goals on the week. Clark scored both goals in a 2-0 win against Walsh, including the game-winner. Clark is fourth in the conference in game-winning goals as well as goals scored.
Men’s Tennis
Brennan Cimpeanu / Hillsdale College / Jr. / Troy, MI
The 2021-22 ITA All-American went 3-0 over the weekend to earn co-champion honors in the top-singles bracket. Cimpeanu recorded victories over Tiffin, Findlay, and Wayne State competitors. The junior also went 1-1 in doubles.
Volleyball
North Division
Defense:
Journey Blevins / University of Findlay / So. / Outside Hitter / Richwood, OH
The outside hitter helped the Oilers improve to 4-7 on the year, including a victory over #25 Gannon University. Blevins tabbed 63 kills at 4.5 kills per set. She also had 29 digs and 10 blocks for a total of 71 points through four matches.

Ava Doster / University of Findlay / So. / Libero / New Haven, IN
Doster recorded 80 digs in four matches at 5.71 digs per set. She currently sits at sixth in the conference in digs with a total of 159 and 4.30 per set.
South Division
Defense:
Katie Thompson / Ashland University / Jr. / Libero / Independence, OH
For the second straight week, Thompson was named the Great Midwest Athlete of the Week after wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene. She led the Eagles with 31 digs through six sets. Thompson also added one kill, three assists, and one service ace.
Offense:
Olivia Kearns / Walsh University / So. / Setter / Lexington, OH
Olivia Kearns helped the Cavaliers go 1-1 on the weekend, including a road-win over Cedarville. Kearns dished out 51 assists in five sets, while also adding four aces, 17 digs, and four kills. She sits at second in the conference in assists with 224 on the year.
