INDIANAPOLIS – Former Walsh University sports information graduate assistant and student-athlete Jamie Halloran has officially been added to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference staff as Assistant Director of Communications.
Halloran will assist in the implementation of the conference’s communication, media relations, and branding efforts. She will also support the conference staff in managing the Great Midwest website, daily and weekly statistical reports, weekly releases, yearly publications, and the Great Midwest Digital Network.
“We are fortunate to have Jamie joining our team and are looking forward to the contributions she will make in supporting our communications efforts,” said Great Midwest commissioner Tom Daeger. “Jamie did an outstanding job in serving one of our member institutions and we anticipate she will reciprocate that service to our full membership in her new role in the conference office.”
In 2016, Halloran joined the women’s basketball program at Great Midwest member institution Walsh where she helped the Cavaliers win back-to-back conference titles in 2019 and 2020.
After graduating, Halloran stayed in North Canton and helped support the Walsh athletic department as a graduate assistant while earning her Master of Business Administration in Marketing. She was also a part of the Walsh sports information department that received the 2021 Great Midwest Sports Information Staff of the Year award this July.
“I am so excited to join the Great Midwest staff and continue to work in the sports community,” said Halloran. “I can’t thank Tom Daeger and the rest of the Great Midwest staff for giving me this opportunity.”
Halloran grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. and completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Corporate Communications.
