Accolades Continue As Great Midwest Recognizes Academic Standouts

More than 2,000 student-athletes from Great Midwest Athletic Conference institutions have been cited for academic excellence, earning academic all-conference honors. Now with a field of 12 full-time members and five associate members, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference recognized an all-time high of 2,376 academic all-conference winners.

In order to earn academic all-conference honors from the Great Midwest, a participating student-athlete’s grade point average must be a minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system, the GPA shall be cumulative for the student-athlete’s entire collegiate career and the student-athlete must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution. Student-athlete GPA figures reported by each institution were reflected through the spring semester.

Findlay, which also was the President's Cup winner for the 2021-22 academic year, totaled a conference-high 350 academic all-conference members. Walsh placed 325 student-athletes on the list, followed by Tiffin's 306. Associate members competing in men's lacrosse totaled 75 academic all-conference honorees, with Seton Hill leading the way with 32.

There were 120 student-athletes who earned a 4.0 GPA and another 302 who had a 3.9 or better.
