Trevecca, Ohio Dominican Advance To Softball Final

FINDLAY, Ohio - No. 4 seed Trevecca Nazarene won again Saturday to move to 3-0 in the tournament and put itself in the driver's seat in the championship round vs. No. 2 seed Ohio Dominican. ODU will have to beat unbeaten TNU twice Sunday to win the championship. 

Trevecca Nazarene claimed a 5-1 win over Findlay to make the final out of the winner's bracket. Ohio Domincan advanced to the final out of the loser's bracket with a thrilling 4-3 win over No. 3 Findlay.

The Trojans scored a run in each of the first three innings and then put a crooked number on the board late to win for the third time in two days. Ashlan Sensing went the distance for TNU, allowing just one run on seven hits. Gracie Kirby went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs and Alyssa Triner went 2-for-2 with a home run. 

Ohio Dominican 4, Findlay 3 (BOX SCORE)
Down 3-2 in the 6th inning, Ohio Dominican put on a 2-out rally to win to eliminate Findlay and advance to the final round. A walk, hit by pitch and an infield single loaded the bases for ODU's Madison Shemwell, who reached on an error. Two unearned runs scored on the play and ODU held on to win. Kaleigh Golden had two hits for the Panthers and Erika Case hit an RBI double.
