Friday's quarterfinals saw a buzzer beater upset and the top seed holding serve, setting up an intriguing tournament final between No. 1 Walsh and No. 6 Cedarville.
Semifinal #1: #1 Walsh 63, #5 Findlay 59

Regular season champ and tourney host Walsh (22-6) won a defensive battle to advance into the championship, outlasting No. 5 seed Findlay 63-59. Tim Smith, Jr. led the Cavs with 13 points. Walsh made 10 shots from 3-point range to stave off the upset.
Deven Stover of Findlay led all scorers with 19 points on 7-for-9 shooting.
Semifinal #2: #6 Cedarville 68, #2 Hillsdale 66

Cedarville's Branden Maughmer got a steal and a game-winning buzzer beater lay-up to send No. 6 seed Cedarville to the Great Midwest final. The thrilling upset was Cedarville's second this week, and the Yellow Jackets have now beaten two of the tourney's top three seeds.
Maughmer, who finished with 24 points, stripped the ball with the game tied at 66 and took the ball the length of the court for the game-winner.
Cedarville (19-11) built a 14-point lead late in the first half but Hillsdale (20-7) stormed back behind Great Midwest Player of the Year Patrick Cartier. The 6-8 Cartier finished with 18 points on 8-for-11 shooting and HC ended up out-scoring CU by 10 in the second half. However, it was Maughmer who made the final play.
Jayvon Maughmer scored 15 points and Kollin Van Horn added 12 for Cedarville, which has won six of its last seven games to break into the regional rankings. Kyle Goessler and Jack Gohlke each scored 14 points for Hillsdale.
