Sixteen standout student-athletes from eight different member institutions are this week's Great Midwest Athletic Conference athletes of the week for the period March 21-27. 

Below is a recap of each award winner and a complete list of this week's honorees.


Baseball Player of the Week
Cam Farrar - Findlay / Jr. / Clyde, Ohio
Farrar batted .563 with five extra-base hits and seven RBIs to lead the Oilers to a 4-1 week and a 4-0 mark in conference play. He clubbed a homer, triple and three doubles as UF scored 41 runs in four conference games. 

Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Paul Brophy - Hillsdale / Soph. / Eckley, Colorado
Brophy shut out the conference's leading team, Trevecca Nazarene, last Friday to lead Hillsdale to a 9-0 win. Brophy struck out four in the effort, becoming the first pitcher to shut out TNU all season.  

Softball Player of the Week
Emma Bobey - Walsh / Sr. / Medina, Ohio
Bobey went 10-for-15 at the plate with four doubles and drove in six runs over four games for Walsh. She slugged .933 and had two three-hit games and a four-hit game.

Softball Pitcher of the Week
Jensen Miller - Malone / Jr. / Canal Fulton, Ohio
Miller pitched 20.2 innings and went 2-1 for the week, including a win at TNU. She pitched three complete games and posted a 1.02 ERA for the week.

Men's Golf Player of the Week
Tyler Nickol - Kentucky Wesleyan / Soph. / Avon, Indiana
Nickol was the medalist at the Klash In Kentucky event last week. He was one-over (75-70=145) to win the first event for a Panther player since 2019.

Women's Golf Player of the Week
Kristina Kniesly - Findlay / Grad / Logansport, Indiana
Kniesly won two events last week for Findlay, which has won three tournaments in a row as a team. The grad student shot (71-70-76=217) to win the Findlay Invite and then she went (73-73=146) to win an event at Saginaw State. 

Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Stuart Brdicka - Ashland / Sr. / Galena, Ohio
Brdicka went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and won both doubles matches he played to lead Ashland to a 2-0 week. He won 6-4, 6-1 vs. Cedarville at the top of the lineup and the won 6-1, 6-2 vs. Salem.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Sarah Hackman - Hillsdale / Sr. / Island Lake, Illinois
Hackman won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles to lead HC to a win over Kentucky Wesleyan. She also played in a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles.

Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Bryce Johnson - Mercyhurst / Jr. / Dexter, New York
Johnson totaled 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists) in a pair of Mercyhurst wins last week. Mercyhurst is now ranked 7th in the USILA coaches poll and Johnson leads the team in assists.

Men's Lacrosse Defender of the Week
Liam Bogedain - Mercyhurst / Sr. / Toledo, Ohio
Bogedain caused a team-best eight turnovers with seven ground balls as Mercyhurst went 2-0 last week.

Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Rachel Black - Walsh / Fr. / Watertown, New York
Black scored 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists) as Walsh beat Ashland and lost to No. 2 UIndy. She scored four goals with two assists in the win over Ashland and also had five ground balls.

Women's Lacrosse Defender of the Week
Jennay Rennie - Tiffin / Soph. / New Westminster, Canada
Rennie was the winning goalkeeper in Tiffin's 18-7 win over Lake Erie, playing 60 minutes and making three stops. She added 14 saves in a loss to 11th-ranked Florida Southern.

Men's Outdoor Track Running Athlete of the Week
Noah Fisher - Findlay / Fr. / Defiance, Ohio
Fisher clocked a time of 29:19.64 in the 10K at the prestigious Raleigh Relays in North Carolina. The mark was a school record by 30 seconds and nearly three minutes better than anyone else in the conference this spring.

Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Noah Koch - Ashland / Soph. / Genoa, Ohio
Koch tossed the discus 53.26, good for third place at the Raleigh Relays and the fourth-best mark in Division II this season. 

Women's Outdoor Track Running Athlete of the Week
Alexa Leppelmeier - Walsh / Sr. / Wauseon, Ohio
Leppelmeier's steeplechase mark of 10:25.15 at the Raleigh Relays set an NCAA Provisional time and is the best in the conference this year. It is also the second-best time in the nation this season.

Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Kelsey Kinsley - Ashland / Fr. / North Canton, Ohio
Kinsley charted 54.95m in the hammer throw at the Winthrop Invitational. That mark is good for 9th in the nation.
