INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of stand-out performances from freshman swimmers earn Findlay a sweep of the Great Midwest Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week honors.

The Findlay men came away with a victory over Great Midwest foe Ashland over the weekend.
 
Helping the Oilers to that win was Angel Margaritov. The freshman took gold in two individual events.
 
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Margaritov touched the wall in 59.50. He followed up that performance with another win in the 100-yard butterfly stopping the clock in 51.59.
 
Women’s Athlete of the Week

The Findlay women walked away with wins over Ashland and Division III Bluffton this weekend.
 
During that tri-meet, May was a part of four first-place performances. The freshman earned two of those wins in individual events.
 
May took gold in both the 50-yard freestyle (24.81) and the 100-yard butterfly (59.79). She was also part of the winning teams in the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.54) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.69).
