Tiffin Finishes Season in America's Crossroads Bowl

HOBART, Ind.- Meeting for the second time this season, Tiffin left it all on the field in the final appearance of the 2022 campaign against Truman State in the third annual America’s Crossroads Bowl Game at Brickyard Stadium on Saturday.
 
The Dragons were the Great Midwest Athletic Conference representative vs. the Bulldogs of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as Truman State won by a final score of 28-27.
 
Tiffin’s Devin Nelson put the Dragons up 7-0 in the first quarter on a 13-yard rushing touchdown. The Dragon defense forced a fumble as Zion Farmer scooped and scored to put Tiffin within one touchdown heading into the half.
 
Tiffin and Truman State previously met in Week 4 of the regular season as part of a scheduling alliance between the two leagues. The Bulldogs would win their third consecutive  America’s Crossroads Bowl Game after beating Hillsdale in 2021 and Ohio Dominican in 2019.
 
TU’s Jesse Connell was named the Defensive Player of the Game after registering six tackles and 1 sack.
 
Tiffin finished the 2022 season 6-5 and 6-2 in the conference under head coach Chris Reisert. Truman State concluded the fall with a 9-2 overall record.
