Men’s Basketball
Justin Miller / Malone University/ Gr. / Forward / East Liverpool, Ohio
Justin Miller was named the Great Midwest Athlete of the Week after outstanding performances against Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene. Miller tabbed a career-high 32 points in a 104-71 victory over the Panthers. He added three rebounds, six assists, and four steals and shot 8-12 from three-point range. Against the Trojans, Miller poured in 11 points and added five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. In the Great Midwest, he ranks third in scoring at 17.7 points per game as well as assists with 4.1.
Women’s Basketball
Emma Kallas / Malone University/ Sr. / Forward / Waukesha, Wis.
Malone’s Emma Kallas recorded her third double-double of the season vs. Kentucky Wesleyan. She registered 17 points and grabbed 11 boards for the Pioneers. In a 77-64 victory over Trevecca Nazarene, Kallas finished with a career-high 21 points and added five rebounds on the day. She ranks fifth in the league in field goal percentage at .543 through 11 games.
Wrestling
Casey Barnett/ Tiffin University/ So. / 149 lbs. / Milan, Ohio
Tiffin’s Casey Barnett helped the Dragons place 16
th out of 41 teams at the Midwest Classic. Individually, he finished fourth overall with wins against Upper Iowa, Maryville, King, UIndy, Notre Dame, and Gannon. Barnett was victorious over Upper Iowa by fall in 2:43, Maryville in 49 seconds, and King in 2:05. He won 9-2 over Notre Dame and 18-11 over Gannon.
