INDIANAPOLIS—For the third straight week, the Ashland University Women’s Basketball Team is featured in the Top 25 of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Poll. The Eagles bumped up one spot to No. 2 after being ranked No. 3 in last week’s release.
Announced on Tuesday afternoon, the WBCA released their third rankings of the 2022-23 regular season. Ashland is slotted at the No. 2 spot, as they remain undefeated on the year. The Eagles are ranked behind the reigning Midwest Regional Champions in Grand Valley State University.
Overall, Ashland holds a 10-0 record and are 4-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Eagles have a high-powered offense and are ranked first in scoring margin (23.2). They average 87.2 points per game while holding opponents to 64.0 points.
Looking ahead, Ashland will face Kentucky Wesleyan (6-3, 3-0) followed by Trevecca Nazarene (6-4, 3-1).
