INDIANAPOLIS—The Ashland University Women’s Basketball team is coming off a huge week as they remain undefeated on the year. The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 Coaches Poll has the Eagles slotted at No. 2 in this week’s rankings. The poll, released Tuesday afternoon, has Ashland behind Grand Valley State University.
The Eagles jumped up one spot since last week’s poll, where coaches voted the team in the No. 3 spot. Two huge road wins over Truman State and No. 7 Drury in an overtime thriller boosted Ashland to 6-0 on the year.
The Eagles will travel to Findlay and Tiffin this week as they begin conference play.
The WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches Poll Committee is composed of one head coach from each of the 23 NCAA Division II conferences.
