INDIANAPOLIS— Two teams from the Great Midwest qualified for the NCAA Division II National Tournament. Six-time Great Midwest Athletic Conference champion Hillsdale  qualified for the NCAA Championship Midwest Regional following Sunday’s Selection show revealing the Chargers as the No. 7 seed. Ashland University, the North Division regular season champion, are slotted as the No. 6 seed.

The Chargers draw the No. 2 seed Lewis University from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Presumably, Hillsdale will travel to Quincy, Illinois where No. 1 seed Quincy University is the high seed in the bracket.

Hillsdale reached the quarterfinal round last season before falling to Gannon University in a 3-1 final.

Ashland will face No. 3 seed Ferris State University in the first round. The Eagles, who registered a regular season record of 23-8,  qualified for the NCAA tournament eight previous times. A win in the first round regional would move the program to face the winner of Lewis and Hillsdale.

Matches are set to begin on Nov. 17, with the national championship taking place on Dec. 3 in Seattle, Washington.
