INDIANAPOLIS— The NCAA Championship is back for Division II football and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference champion Ashland University is among the field of teams selected to compete from four super regions.
The NCAA Selection Show took place Sunday afternoon as seven teams from each super region were picked by the national committee with the regular season coming to an end on Saturday.
From the Great Midwest, Ashland defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 41-10 to secure the regular season crown. The victory celebrates the Eagle’s first conference championship since joining the league last year.
Ashland learned it was officially part of the NCAA Super Region One as the No. 4 seed.
