INDIANAPOLIS -- Ashland football is ranked No. 2 in the second installment of the NCAA's Division II Football Regional Rankings released Monday. Following last week's release which were "under consideration" rankings, the 10 teams in each Super Region are now ranked in order instead of listed alphabetically.
The Eagles, following their first loss of the season to Hillsdale College, still hold a 7-1 overall record and a 5-1 conference record. Ashland is listed at No. 2 in Super Region One behind Shepherd University. The Eagles sit tied with Tiffin for first place the Great Midwest standings. Ashland will travel to Lake Erie this weekend before returning home to host Kentucky Wesleyan in the season finale.
