Ashland Football at No. 6 for Fourth Week in a Row

10.24.22

WACO, Tex. – Ashland remains at No. 6 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 Poll released Monday. This is the fourth week in a row the Eagles have been slotted as the sixth best team in the country.

Ashland responded to one of its biggest tests of the season this weekend with a win over conference foe Tiffin. The Dragons and Eagles came into Saturday afternoon’s match up as the last two unbeaten football teams in Great Midwest play. With AU’s 28-20 victory, the Eagles now hold sole possession of first place in the conference standings and control much of their own destiny when it pertains to the road to a conference championship.

At 7-0 on the season, Ashland is one of just 11 undefeated teams in Division II.

The Eagles will travel to Hillsdale this weekend before returning home for the regular season finale hosting Kentucky Wesleyan.
