Ashland Sits at No. 6 for Third Week

10.17.22

WACO, Tex. – No change once again for Ashland football. For the third straight week, the Eagles remain at No. 6 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 poll.

The Eagles showed some grit in Week 8 beating Ohio Dominican in a nail-bitter to stay unbeaten on the year and in Great Midwest play. Down 7-0 at the half, Ashland scored 14 unanswered points to seal the win.

The win over Ohio Dominican sets up a huge matchup for the Eagles in Week 9 against Tiffin – the only other Great Midwest team with an unblemished record in league play.

Ashland will welcome the Dragons to Jack Miller Stadium on homecoming with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.

The Eagles are one of just 13 undefeated teams in Division II and now lead the nation in scoring defense allowing just 9.2 points per game so far this season.
