INDIANAPOLIS – Teams are now in the midst of the second half of the league schedule as Walsh received Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week honors announced Wednesday.
The Cavaliers are tied for the top position in the conference standings with rival Malone as each program is 8-2.
There are some impressive win streaks towards the top of the conference standings including Findlay, winners of seven straight. Ashland and Hillsdale are also on respective three-game win streaks of their own while co-leaders Walsh and Malone have also won three in a row.

Still just getting started in the early stages of what is going to be a promising career, Keeslar fits the mold of former Walsh standouts that can do a bit of everything on the court, specifically referencing former all-conference products Chandler Vaudrin and J.T. Shumate.
At 6-6, 195, the swingman has helped the Cavaliers to share of first place in the Great Midwest standings after Walsh beat Lake Erie and Tiffin at home in the past week.
Keeslar had a triple-double and flirted with those averages over his two-game sample size, hitting marks of 20.5 points, nine assists and eight steals per game. He also had 1.5 steals per contest hovered around the 50 percent mark shooting for the week.
Keeslar helped Walsh to win No. 11 on the year with a triple-double against Tiffin on Thursday. He finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, while hitting all five of his free throw attempts.
On Saturday, Keeslar poured in a game-high 24 points on 7-of-9 shooting vs. Lake Erie. He made nine more free throws and added six rebounds to supplement four assists. Three other Walsh players scored in double figures.
Keeslar has emerged as a top 10 scorer in the league, currently ranked seventh with 14.8 ppg. He is the current leader among all players in assists (5.2 apg) and also ranks third in rebounds (8.2 rpg).
