For an encore after going 3-0 at the NWCA National Duals, Beemer scored a notable upset at his weight class as the eighth-ranked Eagles tangled vs. No. 4 West Liberty in dual action.
Beemer, ranked 10th at 174 pounds, defeated No. 2 ranked Ty McGeary by a decision that ended up 3-2 as the final.
Beemer catapulted up to the top-ranked grappler in the Intermat rankings at 174 and McGeary dropped to No. 5.
