INDIANAPOLIS – A laundry list of student-athlete qualifiers from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference are headed to Allendale, Mich., for the 2021 NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships.
Grand Valley State will serve as host of the national meet, which runs from May 27-29. A total of 18 women’s qualifiers have been named and 11 from the men’s side have either hit automatic or provisional qualifying marks throughout the regular season.
Conference student-athletes initially began the postseason with the Great Midwest Championship meet held in Owensboro, Ky. Findlay won the women’s team title for the first time while Tiffin’s men completed back-to-back championship runs.
Eleven different meet records were broken on the women’s side and eight meet records were established by the men.
Additionally Ashland and Northwood, future members with the league, had multiple qualifiers for different events listed as well in the initial heat sheet published earlier this week.
