INDIANAPOLIS - Trevecca and Ohio Dominican earn Great Midwest Softball Player of the Week honors announced Tuesday afternoon.
After a slow start to the season Trevecca has now extended its win streak to 11 in a row with a 4-0 record in conference play (12-6 overall). Meanwhile Ohio Dominican split a series with Tiffin and swept a series with Findlay to improve to 13-8 overall and 3-1 in the league.

The Trojans swept series with both Malone and Walsh on the road this week, defeating Malone 11-1 and 9-1, then beating Walsh 5-1 and 9-3.
Sperlich powered the Trojan’s hitting with a .467 batting average that included two doubles and a home run as well as six RBI.
In the first game against Malone, Sperlich had two hits including a two-run home run. She totaled four RBI during that game. Sperlich added two more hits and another RBI in the second game of the series.
The sophomore added a double, batting in one run in the first game of the series with Walsh. Sperlich added two more hits including another double in the second game of the series.
On the season, Sperlich has a .333 batting average with 16 hits on the season including five doubles and three home runs.

Sydney Long was 2-0 on the week, not giving up any runs as she led ODU to a 4-0 win over Tiffin and an 8-0 win over Findlay.
Long pitched 15 innings on the week, striking out 15 batters while allowing 10 hits and only one walk.
Against Tiffin, Long faced 34 batters, striking out seven while giving up five hits and one walk. In the first game of the series with Findlay, Long faced 25 batters, striking out eight while allowing five hits and zero walks.
The right-handed pitcher improved to 6-4 on the season with the fourth-best ERA in the conference at 1.85.
