With outdoor eligibility remaining in her accomplished career, Thompson started the spring with a bang at the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin.

The graduate student clocked a provisional qualifying time in the 10K with a fourth-place finish in the event that included all Division I student-athletes and two unattached competitors.

Thompson more than held her own with a time of 34:36.63, which is also a new conference record. She officially passed former Hillsdale indoor/outdoor All-American Hannah McIntyre and her previous league best of 34:54.25 in 2018.

Thompson is ranked second in Division II in the early season performance list only behind Grand Valley State’s Jessica Gockley.

Pitsburg, OH (Franklin Monroe HS)

Berry was coming off of All-American indoor honors in the shot put before carrying over that excellence right into the outdoor season. The junior was competing at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Invitational hosted by Cedarville.

Berry won the shot put competition with a distance of 14.82m (48’ 7.5”) on her fifth attempt.

It was a provisional distance for nationals qualification and also ranked No. 8 all-time in conference history.

Berry also ranks third currently in Division II in the performance list among 11 student-athletes with provisional marks in shot put.
