The field of eight playoff teams has been finalized for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship tournament bracket that is set to begin on Tuesday.

The regular season concluded on Saturday afternoon with a number of teams battling for postseason positioning in the conference Point Rating System (PRS). 

Top seeded Cedarville, No. 2 Kentucky Wesleyan, No. 3 Walsh and No. 4 Ohio Dominican will all host first-round quarterfinal games. Their respective matchups include No. 5 Tiffin, No. 6 Findlay, No. 7 Trevecca Nazarene and No. 8 Malone.

Based on winning percentage, the Yellow Jackets secured the outright regular season conference title with a record of 18-4. Cedarville also clinched the top seed in the PRS with a total of 4.16 points as they are set to face Malone in the opening round. The Pioneers finished eighth in the PRS with 2.95 total points. The quarterfinal matchup will take place at 6:30 p.m. ET in the Callahan Athletic Center.

Kentucky Wesleyan ended the season 16-4 and finished with 4.00 points in the PRS to earn the No. 2 seed as they will face No. 7 Trevecca in the quarterfinals. The Trojans finished with 3.09 points in the PRS. KWC will host at 6:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. local time in the Owensboro Sports Center. 

With a conference record of 16-5 and 3.98 points in the PRS, Walsh is the No. 3 seed, slated to play No. 6 Findlay, who finished with 3.17 total points. Walsh will host in the Cecchini Center, starting at 5:30 p.m. ET. 

The last quarterfinal matchup features No. 4 Ohio Dominican and No. 5 Tiffin. The Panthers ended the regular season at 15-6 with 3.81 points in the PRS. The Dragons finished the season 13-8 with 3.40 total points. Tiffin will travel to ODU for a 7:30 p.m. ET start time at Alumni Hall. 

The top seed advancing from the quarterfinals will then host the remainder of the conference tournament that will begin with semifinal games on Friday and the championship on Saturday. The winner of the Great Midwest Championship will earn an AQ into the NCAA Championship Atlantic Regional. 

Great Midwest coaches are in the process of voting for the annual all-conference team, which includes 10 student-athletes on the first team, 10 on the second-team, and five additional names on the all-defensive team. The all-conference team will be announced Thursday afternoon.
