2.25.21

INDIANAPOLIS - With the highest point total and most first-place votes, Cedarville sits at the top of the spring 2021 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Preseason Men’s Soccer Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour.

Four different programs received at least one first-place vote in the coaches poll, as conference competition is set to begin on March 9.

The spring 2021 schedule will feature a single round robin format, followed by an eight-team bracket for the conference championship tournament.

Cedarville received 73 total points and four first-place votes to top the coaches poll after advancing to the conference championship a season ago.

Lake Erie is viewed as a top team in the league as well, receiving three first-place votes. The Storm was crowned regular season conference champions in fall of 2019.

Tiffin and Ohio Valley are also in the top tier of the preseason poll with two and one first-place votes, respectively. Tiffin won the conference tournament in both 2018 and 2019.

All four teams that received first-place votes represented the league in the 2019 NCAA Regional tournament. Ohio Valley progressed the furthest in the regional tournament of the four programs, advancing to the Sweet 16.

Findlay and Walsh sit at No. 5 and 6 in the coaches poll, after both teams qualified for the conference tournament last fall.
