INDIANAPOLIS - Cedarville picked up two wins over nationally ranked teams last week to sweep Great Midwest Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors announced Monday afternoon. 

Hillsdale is ranked No. 1 in the nation, with Walsh, Findlay, Tiffin and Ohio Dominican all also ranked nationally. Cedarville is receiving votes in the national poll.

Hillsdale, Walsh, Findlay, Tiffin and Ohio Dominican have all clinched spots in the conference tournament, set to be held March 9; 12-13 at the highest remaining seed.

Through eight sets this week, Liene Miller averaged 4.63 kills and 3.75 digs to earn her third career Player of the Week honors. 

Cedarville defeated No. 19 Tiffin on Wednesday, 3-1. Miller lead the CU offense with 20 kills on 56 attempts, for a hitting percentage of .268. She also added 12 digs. 

The Yellow Jackets then beat No. 22 Ohio Dominican in four sets. Miller connected for 17 kills on 39 attempts, while only committing four errors to improve her hitting percentage to .333. She added a team-best three service aces and 18 digs. 

Miller is second in the league in kills with 97 on the season (3.88 per set).

Danville, IN (Danville Community HS)

Mallory Delamarter averaged 5.5 digs per set with  two wins to earn weekly honors for the first time in her career.

In Cedarville’s win over Tiffin, Delamarter contributed 22 digs, one ace and one assist. 

Against ODU, the sophomore matched her number of digs from earlier in the week with a team-high 22. She also added two assists and one ace. 

Delamarter ranks tenth in the conference in digs with 98 on the season (3.92 per set).
