INDIANAPOLIS – Malone and Hillsdale collected post-Thanksgiving honors for Great Midwest Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week as announced on Friday.
Men’s Athlete of the Week
Caleb Cosentino

Hudson, OH (Hudson HS)
Cosentino has earned all-conference honors in the previous two seasons for the Pioneers as he stood out over the two-day Malone Invitational with Notre Dame (OH), West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins, in the field.

It was a busy stretch for the junior as the Malone men would finish third in the team scoring against opponents the Pioneers will see later at the combined conference championship event.
In 2020-21, Cosentino was a first team all-conference honoree for his performance in the 1650 freestyle.
Women’s Athlete of the Week
Marie Taylor
Hillsdale
Junior
Austin, TX (Anderson HS)
The Chargers continued their string of dominance in the women’s weekly honors as Taylor recorded a pair of NCAA ‘B’ cut times at the Don Kimble Invitational hosted by Davenport.
Hillsdale was one of six teams factored into the scoring as junior recorded a pair of top 10 times all-time in the combined conference history record books that also include the Mountain East Conference.
Taylor finished first in the 100 freestyle and second in the 50 freestyle for individual events. She was also part of the sixth-place finishing 400 medley relay team and the 200 medley relay unit that placed seventh.
The 23.74 in the 50 freestyle was a new PR for the junior and was the second-fastest time in Hillsdale program history. Her 100 freestyle time ranks at No. 9 all-time in the combined conference history.
