INDIANAPOLIS - Eight contests were played in women’s hoops last week including Cedarville walking away with a pair of wins to earn Great Midwest Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors announced Tuesday morning.
The Yellow Jackets (9-1) rolled past Hillsdale (1-8) 83-63, then easily beat Ohio Dominican (5-3) 93-63. Cedarville’s only loss on the season came to ODU in early December.
Kentucky Wesleyan (6-3) and Tiffin (6-4) also went undefeated on the week. KWC continues to prove why they are ranked as one of the top offensive and defensive scoring teams in the league, as they beat opponents by an average of 41 points last week.

Huffman and the Yellow Jackets extended their win streak to nine straight games, with wins over Hillsdale and Ohio Dominican last week.
Cedarville is the top scoring top team in the league, averaging 86.8 ppg, while holding opponents to an average of 71.8 ppg.
The Yellow Jackets are efficient from just about anywhere on the floor, as they lead the conference in field goal percentage (.475) and 3-point field goal percentage (.429). They also rank third in free throw percentage (.770).
Huffman stuffed the stat sheet last week, averaging 12.5 ppg, 6.5 apg, 5.0 rpg and 4.5 spg, all while shooting over 52 percent from the floor.
The senior guard scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 21 minutes of play in Thursday’s game against Hillsdale. She also added six rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Against Ohio Dominican, Huffman narrowly missed a double-double with 14 points and nine assists. She also contributed four rebounds and four assists in the win.
This is the second time this season that Huffman has earned Great Midwest Athlete of the Week honors and third time in her career.
