INDIANAPOLIS - Ten women’s basketball games were played this week throughout the league earning Findlay the title of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.
Findlay (5-4) fell early in the week to Ohio Dominican (4-2), but won two consecutive games against Malone (2-6) and Walsh (4-3) later in the week.
Ursuline (5-3) extended its winning-streak, defeating Lake Erie (0-4) and Ohio Dominican this week.
Kentucky Wesleyan (4-3) beat Tiffin (4-4) on Thursday night, but fell to Cedarville (7-1) on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets have not lost a game in over a month, with their only loss of the season coming against ODU on December 3.
Hillsdale (1-6) put its first check in the win column this season when they beat Lake Erie on Monday evening. The Chargers fell to Walsh later in the week.

Sydney Kin continues to be a matchup nightmare for opponents as the 6'3 forward/center averaged 29.7 points and 13.7 rebounds this week.
Kin led the Oilers to a 2-1 record on the week, with wins over Malone and defending conference champions, Walsh.
Despite a 30-point, 19-rebound performance from Kin, the Oilers came up short at ODU on Tuesday night, 94-77.
Kin shot 14-of-19 from the floor en route to her first 30-point performance of the season. Last season, Kin tallied 33 points against Urbana.
The forward/center cleaned up the offensive glass Tuesday night, with 10 of her 19 rebounds coming on the offensive end. Kin added four steals and one assist to her nightly totals.
On Friday, Findlay bounced-back to beat Malone 80-72. Kin led all scorers with 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line. She also added eight rebounds and one block.
Findlay faced Walsh on Sunday afternoon, taking the Cavaliers to overtime before winning 92-84. Kin once again surpassed the 30-point mark, as she poured in a 31-point, 14-rebound double-double. She was 13-of-21 from the field and 5-of-7 from the free throw line.
Kin leads the conference in FG% (.632), ranks second in scoring (21.3), third in rebounds (10.1) and blocks (1.4), and fifth in FT% (.837).
This is the fourth time in Kin’s career earning Great Midwest Athlete of the Week honors, after being award the honors three times last season.
