Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 10)

2.10.20

INDIANAPOLIS – It was a sweep for the Cavaliers of Walsh in Week 13 of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Basketball Players of the Week awards series as announced on Monday afternoon.

Findlay moved to the top of the point rating system standings over the past week following wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene. The Oilers have a tally of 4.38 through 13 league contests.

Walsh was nationally ranked for one week before getting beat by Findlay. The Cavaliers are tied with the Oilers at 11-2 in the PRS, but trail by a slight margin with a 4.31 total. Hillsdale, Cedarville and Lake Erie are top five while Ohio Dominican, Kentucky Wesleyan and Malone, are the current top eight.

Very little movement occurred on the women’s side as 12th-ranked Walsh remains unbeaten. No. 24 Kentucky Wesleyan also won twice to sit idle at second while Cedarville and Findlay are third and fourth.

If the season ended today, Malone, Ohio Dominican, Tiffin and Lake Erie, would all be playoff bound.
