2020-21 Great Midwest Football Schedule
INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference continued to release the delayed fall sports schedules for the spring with the announcement of football on Monday afternoon.
Teams are allowed to start practice on Monday, February 1, with six different weeks for the conference schedule built in starting on March 13.
Each program also has one bye week scheduled between the start of conference play and the final weekend of the regular season.
Week 1 will feature Ohio Dominican at Lake Erie, Tiffin traveling to Walsh and Findlay visiting Hillsdale. The final Saturday of the spring is Saturday, April 24, with Ohio Dominican home vs. Hillsdale, Tiffin welcoming Findlay and Lake Erie hosting Kentucky Wesleyan.
The Great Midwest football team champion will be determined by the regular season standings. Any teams tied with the best conference winning percentage will be declared co-champions.
Each member institution will have three home and three away games with no official postseason following the cancellation of the NCAA Championships and December's America's Crossroads Bowl Game against an opponent from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Great Midwest Offensive/Defensive/Special Teams Players of the Week award selections will be dependent on the first scheduled contests for the regular season schedule.
A date for the traditional Great Midwest Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour is also still to be determined.
All start times will be determined by the home institution and are subject to change. Any non-conference contests that are being played will be announced at a later date by each member institution. The date of the first permissible contest is February 25.
Due to the number of home events each institution may be tasked with hosting throughout the spring, schools will retain autonomy for decision making on video streaming events to the Great Midwest Digital Network.
