WBCA Top 25 Coaches Poll

INDIANAPOLIS –
The Walsh Cavaliers hoops program sustained its rapid ascent up the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Top-25 Poll with a new ranking of No. 19 in Division II earlier this week.

For the third straight week, Walsh climbed, this time going from 23rd and up four spots after wins against Alderson Broaddus and Ohio Valley.

Walsh is on an 11-game win streak at 16-2 overall and is still undefeated in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference schedule through nine contests. The Cavaliers are also leading all teams in the new conference point rating system.

After appearing in the Division II National Showcase game vs. Cedarville on ESPN3, head coach Kate Bruce and her squad broke through the WBCA’s Top 25 at No. 25.

The defending conference tournament champs and preseason favorites are averaging a league best 86.3 points per game.

Walsh will host Findlay on Saturday the 25th in another prime conference matchup.
