Sprints
Junior
Laurel, MD (Reservoir HS)

Turner and the Battlers competed at the West Virginia Open in Morgantown under first-year head coach Kaylyn Christopher, who joined the program right after cross country season.

It was a homecoming of sorts for AB’s new coach, a former academic and athletic All-American for the Mountaineers as a student-athlete.

Turner excelled in the 60-meter dash and as a member of the 4x400-meter relay.

The junior beat out West Virginia’s Michaela Rose in the finals with a time of 8.04, getting redemption from finishing behind the Mountaineer freshman in the prelims.

Turner then helped the Battlers get second in the relay event as Madison Ross, Kylie Laskody and Taylor Butler, combined for a time of 4:38.03.

Upper Darby, PA (Upper Darby Senior HS)

Competing out in Staten Island, NY, Henry participated in the Spartan Invite and the 2020 TCNJ Lions Indoor Invitational to ring in the new year for the Arrows.

Henry went out and recorded the third-longest attempt in conference history in the triple jump, her signature event, with a distance of 11.45m (37’ 6.75”).

It was a personal best for the junior, who now owns three of the top 10 marks in the triple jump. The overall record was set last year by Tiffin’s Miaisha Blair in the conference indoor championships.

Henry was runner-up on Friday before turning around and participating in three more events on Saturday.

Henry gave the triple jump another go on Saturday and she finished fifth with a distance of 11.00m. She also finished top 10 in the long jump and 4x400-meter relay.
