Official WGCA Release

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.
- Eighteen student-athletes from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference were announced as 18Birdies Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars for the 2018-19 season.

A total of 1,096 of the brightest women's collegiate golfers from the NCAA's three divisions were recognized with prestigious annual honor.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.

Findlay led all Great Midwest institutions with five total selections while Tiffin had four honorees on the list. Alderson Broaddus and Walsh each had three recipients excel in the classroom while Ohio Dominican had a tandem of two and Malone had one.

All eighteen of the women's golf student-athletes from the league were also on the Great Midwest Academic All-Conference Team that was released recently. The conference nearly doubled its total of WGCA All-American Scholars from a year ago after 10 were honored in 2017-18.
