INDIANAPOLIS – Members from Hillsdale’s three-time tournament title winning program received the final Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week honors as announced on Monday.
The Chargers made it three straight conference championship wins after defeating Tiffin on Saturday in four sets.
Hillsdale will learn of its destination for the NCAA Championship in the Midwest Regional following the selection show tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.

It has been a time to celebrate for Van Wienen, who earned the Great Midwest Player of the Year award and first team all-conference honors for the third straight season on Thursday night.
She stepped up in tourney time as the the Chargers defeated Malone in Tuesday’s quarterfinals, Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday night in the semifinals and Tiffin on Saturday in the championship match.
After getting her name called 16 times on Friday, Van Wienen’s workload increased exponentially with a standout effort in the championship final.
The junior locked horns with Tiffin’s all-conference heavy hitter Jenna Huffman up front and proceeded to hit .471 with 19 kills on 34 swings. She also had a solo block and three assisted blocks.
When the season is all said and done, Van Wienen will be the conference single-season record holder in hitting percentage by a significant margin.
Versus Malone, she put down 16 kills on 35 attack attempts for a .457 hitting percentage.
She has earned conference offensive player of the week honors seven different times this year.

Wiese made a bit of history in the win against Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday. With her 13th dig, coming late in the second set, she became Hillsdale's all-time leader in digs.
Her 19 digs in that match gave her 2,141 for her career, breaking the old record of 2,134, held by Megan Howard, who played her entire career in the 30-point rally score era from 2004-07.
She was again brilliant in the championship match, recording 34, which is a single-match high among all players in the conference this season.
Wiese previously had 33 in the regular season along with Tiffin’s Sam Fallis, as they went head-to-head in the championship showdown.
The senior also reached the 30-dig mark in the first round of the conference playoffs against Malone.
On the week, Wiese averaged 7.54 digs per set. She was the league leader with 6.09 oon the season.
