INDIANAPOLIS – Nationally-ranked Tiffin received Great Midwest Athletic Conference Wrestling Athlete of the Week honors as announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Dragons remain ranked No. 16 in the NWCA Coaches Poll.

Donathan reeled off five consecutive victories, including three pins in a row, to capture his weight class at the Ohio Intercollegiate Open.
The newcomer scored a first-round victory over No. 5 Justin Crawford of Notre Dame (OH) with an 8-4 decision. He advanced to the next round in the white division to earn a pin in 3:58 vs. Davenport’s Derrick Nicks.
He then pinned his next two opponents to move forward in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
Donathan’s first pin came in 2:51 against Thomas Gallagher from tournament host Case Western Reserve. He then methodically got his third pin of the tourney in 5:54 against John Carroll’s Austin Victor.
In the championship bout, Donathan edged Division I Buffalo’s Warren McDougald with a 7-6 decision. It was a very impressive showing for the rookie after the Dragons debuted at the Michigan State Open.
All told, Donathan recorded a total of 26 team points to win his weight class.
