Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week (Jan. 21)

1.21.19

INDIANAPOLIS – Cedarville just continues to win and remains in first place as a new Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week was named on Monday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets are winners of four straight and winners in five of their last six, to keep pace with a pack of schools in hot pursuit midway through the regular season.

A half game back is Kentucky Wesleyan and the Panthers have a league-best nine-game win streak dating back to mid-December. Findlay and Walsh are tied for third and both programs remain very much in the mix at 8-3.

Two games were re-scheduled to be played on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day following winter weather (Lake Erie/Walsh; Malone/Ursuline).
