INDIANAPOLIS – After a long break over the holidays, Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honors resumed for the new calendar year.

Windham kicked off 2019 with a bang pulling in three individual wins in the Senators’ Battle of the Hills meet against West Virginia Wesleyan. Windham dominated competition in the 1,000-yard Freestyle, the 100-yard butterfly, and the 200-yard butterfly, and now joins his teammates Pedro Gaspar and Ricard Castan with each holding the athlete of the week honors once this season.
Davis & Elkins returns to action Saturday, January 19th in a home dual meet against Salem.
Women’s Athlete of the Week
Denise Quentin
Malone
Sophomore
Schwerte, Germany (Friedrich-ehrens Gymnasium)
Quentin racked up two personal best times and two individual wins in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle in the Pioneers' dual meet at home against Baldwin Wallace.
Not only did this strong showing get Malone an overall victory over the Yellow Jackets, but also placed Quentin fourth overall in the Malone all-time top times list for both events.
Malone returns to action in a tri-meet against Ashland and Urbana on Friday, January 18th hosted by Ashland.
