INDIANAPOLIS – The midway point of the league schedule looms ahead as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week honors were announced on Monday afternoon. 
 
Several teams have established themselves in the top tier of the conference standings, including sharpshooting Cedarville and a streaking Kentucky Wesleyan program.
 
The Yellow Jackets are the first to 12 wins and the Panthers extended their league-best win streak to seven straight games. 
 
Walsh and Findlay remain in the hunt with seven victories in Great Midwest action while Ohio Dominican put itself back into the picture with strong road wins at Findlay and Hillsdale, the co-preseason No. 1’s by the coaches.

Brittin Boyer enjoyed one of the best weeks of her career posting 29 points and 26 rebounds which helped the Trojans to a pair of road victories.
 
Her effort included back-to-back double-doubles in which she grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds to go with 17 points in a 66-57 win over Alderson Broaddus.
 
Boyer’s 15 rebounds were a career high and equaled the most rebounds for any Trojan in a game in the Division II era. They were also the most rebounds in a game for Trevecca since 2011.
 
Against Davis & Elkins, Boyer turned in 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Trojans while shooting 4-6 from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line.
 
For the week, Boyer averaged 14.5 points, 13.0 rebounds while going 69% from the field and 84% from the free throw line.
 
Boyer is currently ranked third in the conference averaging 7.6 rebounds and is sixth in free throw percentage (83%).
 
Trevecca is 5-9 overall and 4-4 in conference play and travel to Ohio Valley and Ohio Dominican this week before returning home for a six-game homestand.
