INDIANAPOLIS
– At one of the deepest positions on the field, Hillsdale senior wide receiver stood out among the greats while being named an American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American.

Brock’s senior year was one to remember as he led the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and receptions.

He was a major factor in helping Hillsdale win the Great Midwest Championship and getting the program into the second round of playoffs as the No. 5 seed.

Brock was voted to the first team by the AFCA and was on the unit with Mars Hill’s Craig Rucker.

Brock was also a First Team All-Great Midwest pick by the league’s coaches and an All-D2CCA Super Region 1 selection.

Brock averaged over 118 yards receiving per game and officially broke the single-season conference record in receptions, yards and TD’s.

In two seasons with the Great Midwest, Brock compiled 2,596 yards receiving with 25 TD’s and 153 catches.

Selection Process: The AFCA’s Division II All-America Selection Committee is made up of three head coaches from each of the AFCA’s seven districts, one of whom serves as a district chairman, along with another head coach who serves as the chairman of the selection committee. The coaches in each district are responsible for ranking the top players in their respective districts prior to a conference call between the district chairmen and the committee chairman on which the teams are chosen.
