INDIANAPOLIS
– There are just two weeks left in the regular season and several teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference are firmly in the middle of the playoff conversation going into Week 10.

Three schools are in the NCAA Super Region 1 rankings with Tiffin leading the way at No. 5, Hillsdale at No. 7 and Ohio Dominican at No. 9.

And for the second week in a row, a top-25 matchup takes center stage with the conference championship race shaping up to be an exciting dash to the finish line. Tiffin moved up two spots in the AFCA rankings to No. 15 and faces No. 25 Hillsdale on Saturday.

The Chargers can seize the opportunity to close out a championship season by winning the title outright with a win against the Dragons. Tiffin can play spoiler, earn a share of at least part of the conference title with a still-challenging Week 11 contest looming against Findlay.

Tiffin’s nine-game win streak is still alive, as is the program’s hopes for an undefeated regular season in its first year as Great Midwest member. The Dragons will be joining their men’s soccer program with championship implications on the line during a busy Saturday.

Hillsdale is confident, and it should be with some tough wins and the team in the driver’s seat to potentially start a championship celebration on its home field in front of the fans at Frank “Muddy” Waters Stadium.

The Chargers would surely move up in the region rankings, but need to take one game at a time with a doozy lined up against non-conference regional foe No. 14 UIndy in Week 11.

Ohio Dominican and Findlay each have a pair of conference defeats and will be attempting to move to 5-2 in the league schedule.

ODU is looking for its eighth win of the season against Kentucky Wesleyan in Columbus, while Findlay is also at home, playing against Malone. MU quarterback Deandre Clayton put up some huge numbers in Week 10 as the Pioneers and AB combined for over 1,300 yards of total offense and 115 points on the scoreboard.

After putting up 60 points against Malone in Week 10, Alderson Broaddus faces a tough Walsh defense that gave up just 24 in the effort against Findlay last weekend.

Lake Erie will be playing a non-conference contest, hitting the road to Kentucky to face Thomas More.
