INDIANAPOLIS - The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s & Women’s Soccer Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference had a total of six different student-athletes recognized for their work on the pitch and in the classroom.
The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if necessary) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.

Espinoza helped the Storm into the men’s soccer conference championship bracket with a first-round playoff win over Ohio Dominican…2018 Great Midwest All-Conference Second Team selection by the coaches…Finished second in the league in points (26) and points per game (1.37)…Named Great Midwest Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 22…Was also second in goals (12) and goals per game (0.63)…Worked to compile a 3.39 GPA in Business Administration & Accounting at Lake Erie.
