Findlay Ranked 16th in NABC National Poll

INDIANAPOLIS – The current leader of the Great Midwest standings, Findlay, climbed up to No. 16 in the new National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Poll that was released on Tuesday.

The Oilers, ranked 21st in last week’s poll and 23rd the week prior, continue to garner attention leading up to their Division II National Showcase game against Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday, Jan. 27, on ESPN3.

Findlay has won 12 straight contests and is 16-2 overall with a perfect 10-0 record in its first season as a Great Midwest member institution. The Oilers earned a win at home against Ohio Dominican and went on the road to edge out Lake Erie in their most recent contests.

Findlay went through the entire month of December without a loss and only a one-point defeat to Ferris State back on November 25 stood in the way of a longer win streak by the program.

The tandem of Martyce Kimbrough and Taren Sullivan have combined to lead Findlay in scoring and the duo is accounting for over 38 points per game in conference play alone.

The Oilers are 6-0 at home in Croy Gymnasium and started the year ranked No. 20 in the NABC Preseason Coaches Poll.
