Great Midwest Membership Partners With VolleyWrite

INDIANAPOLIS – Effective for the upcoming 2017 season, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced a league-wide partnership with VolleyWrite, a volleyball scoring software application.

All 13 Great Midwest member institutions will be utilizing the software on either a laptop or iPad from the scoring table at all home matches.

VolleyWrite allows for a more efficient process with scorekeeping and libero tracking while also providing different printouts for coaches to analyze as the match progresses.

“Nothing is more exciting than working with a conference that wants the best for its schools,” stated VolleyWrite co-developer Debbie Keller. “The G-MAC is open to new ideas and ways that technology can help the game we love, and we could not be more happy to partner with them.”

The software allows the user to record points and timeouts with the click of a button, record substitutions and libero replacements with a drag-and-drop option or clicking action and offers a friendly system for lineup entry.

The Great Midwest initially used VolleyWrite during the conference championship tournament in Mason, Ohio.

This year, the sport features an East and a West division and the annual preseason coaches poll will be released next Wednesday, August 16, at 10 a.m. ET.

The first match of the season officially gets underway Thursday, August 31, as Hillsdale hosts Michigan Tech for a home contest.
